Attorney Timothy C. Moynahan is Chairman of the Executive Board of the Global Virus Network, a global authority and resource for the identification, investigation, and control of viral diseases posing threats to humankind; President of the Ireland Chamber of Commerce in the United States, Connecticut Chapter; member of the Post University MBA Advisory Council; and a Super Lawyer of New England and Connecticut.

Mr. Moynahan earned a B.A. in History from Providence College in Rhode Island, and a J.D. from the Catholic University Law School in Washington, D.C.

Among his many activities, Mr. Moynahan is a frequent guest speaker at law schools, to both faculty and students, in Lahore and Karachi, Pakistan, under the auspices of the United States Information Agency, on the topics of the Bill of Rights, free society, and the United States Constitution. He was also a panelist/speaker at the Fifth Annual Convention of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee on the topic of the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict and the First Amendment; a conference discussant at Eastern Mediterranean University in Northern Cyprus on the topic of business considerations within the context of globalization and competing nationalisms; a speaker/faculty member on behalf of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association at a seminar in Ireland with Irish barristers and justices, presenting on the topic of freedom of expression as envisioned by the First Amendment, a Connecticut case, and the Constitution of Ireland; and a speaker before the United Nations Delegations Women’s Club in New York on the topic of constitutional principles in a free society.

Mr. Moynahan is also member of the Dean’s Counsel, Quinnipiac School of Law; member of the Mayor’s Commission on Diversity and Integration in Waterbury, Connecticut; member of the Supreme Court Chief Justice’s Committee on Criminal Justice; member of the National Italian American Foundation; and serves on the Board of Governors of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association and of the Connecticut Criminal Trial Lawyers Association; on the Advisory Board of Teikyo Post University; as Regional Coordinator of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers; and on the Board of Directors of the Leukemia Society.

Mr. Moynahan is recipient of the 2005 Coqui Award, presented annually by the Hispanic Coalition to give special recognition to an individual in the community who has had a positive impact in the Hispanic community. That same year, he was awarded “Man of the Year” by Yeshiva Gedolah of Waterbury, Connecticut.
